How the iTero Scanner Works
The iTero scanner uses a small handheld wand that is gently moved around your mouth. The wand emits a safe, radiation-free laser that captures thousands of micro-images per second. These images are instantly assembled into a detailed, accurate 3D model of your teeth and gums that you can see in real time on the screen.
The digital model is far more accurate than traditional impressions, which can distort or shrink as they set. This improved accuracy means better-fitting aligners, retainers, and appliances from the very first try.
iTero and Invisalign
The iTero scanner is the preferred tool for Invisalign treatment planning. Using the digital scan, we can create a precise treatment plan showing exactly how your teeth will move throughout treatment. You can even preview your final smile result before you begin — giving you confidence in your treatment decision.
